Matthew Loudon,
Diabetes / Endocrinology, Wasilla

Matt was born and raised in Fairbanks. Except for living in Iowa for three years to attend Seminary, he has lived in Alaska his entire life and has called Palmer his home for the last 21 years. He began his medical career in 1989 and has worked as a firefighter/EMT, wild-land firefighter/EMT, emergency department technician, and critical care flight paramedic.
Matt received his PA training through the University of Washington MEDEX program. He has specialized in diabetes care for the last seven years. Matt values the opportunity he gets at CDEC to get to know patients on a deeper level “rather than simply herding them through like cattle.” He is deeply committed to helping his patients avoid the short and long-term complications of diabetes. When not at work, Matt enjoys being active in his church and spending time outdoors doing various activities with his wife and three children.
