Jacob Shook, DO Family Medicine, Palmer

Dr. Jacob Shook, a devoted Physician currently serving in the Army National Guard, seamlessly intertwines his commitment to both military service and healthcare. With his medical education completed at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Family Medicine residency training accomplished at Fort Hood, Texas, Dr. Shook embarked on a purposeful mission: to deliver comprehensive healthcare to the Alaskan community. This journey was initiated during his time as a Paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division stationed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), where his roots in Alaska took hold.

Beyond his medical expertise, Jacob is an ardent advocate for outdoor pursuits. From backcountry skiing and mountain biking to invigorating hikes and the unique realm of Arctic Medicine, he finds inspiration in the great outdoors. Originally hailing from Pennsylvania, Jacob’s love for camping, hunting, and fishing remains unwavering.

Sharing his life’s journey is his wife, Heather, and their cherished son. Together, they call Palmer their home, embracing the stunning Alaskan landscape and the tight-knit community it offers.
